The moment you arrive at Niyama Private Islands Maldives, you know you’re somewhere special. From Subsix, the world’s first underwater restaurant, to Drift, its decadent spa, every aspect of the award-winning resort is exquisitely designed to ensure you have the holiday of a lifetime.
Recognising that not everyone wants the same from a holiday, the resort is spread across two islands, Chill and Play, joined by a wooden bridge.
Chill offers a tranquil retreat, with soothing spa treatments and offshore culinary experiences, and is great for couples. The accommodation on this island is a mix of beach and overwater villas.
Play, in contrast, is more geared towards family fun and activities. Here you’ll find Niyama’s award-winning kids’ club, exciting treetop restaurant, and swimming pool. On Play, the accommodation is beach villas only.
Niyama Private Islands is also renowned as one of the best luxury surf resorts in the Maldives. Vodi breaks directly onto the shore of Play Island and offers an uncrowded powerful left-hander suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers. The resort can also provide surf transfers to a variety of other breaks on request.
